My teaching philosophy revolves around four main outcomes: 1) Critical thinking, 2) Integrated research and design, 3) Collaboration, and 4) Communication. In the classroom, I employ active learning techniques to engage students and use real-life examples to make learning contextual. I believe that it is important to use diverse, culturally responsive materials in STEM classes, and to involve students in hands-on activities.
